ALERT RESIDENTS!! Traffic police to further tighten the traffic violation checks in Tambaram!!

Driving on the wrong side has become very common now in Tambaram and the traffic police has booked as many as 16255 cases. In the first quarter of 2023, the traffic police commissionerate registered about one lakh traffic violation cases here. Other important traffic violations witnessed in Tambaram are driving without helmets, 14129 cases and 9507 cases of obstruction of traffic flow by parked vehicles.
For the violation of traffic signals, the traffic police here have booked as many as 7502 persons and 6566 cases for parking vehicles in unauthorised places. Under the Tambaram commissionerate, some parts of major highways like GST Road, OMR and ECR are present. In the first quarter of 2023, there were 571 road accidents and 146 persons lost their lives.
Now, the traffic police here has decided to further tighten the checks on traffic violations. It is learnt that the traffic police personnel here have booked 1520 random U-turn violation cases by the motorists as its latest drive. For not stopping at the unguarded railway gates, 20 cases of violation were booked.
Thirty seven parents and relatives were booked by the traffic police personnel here for allowing their kids to drive vehicles or underage driving and risking their lives.
