Income tax raid in real estate companies
Income tax raids were conducted at the premises linked to VIP Housing and Properties, Jubilee Plots and Housing Unit and AM Properties.
The raids, which were being carried out to check tax evasion, have yielded Rs 3 crore in unaccounted cash. Similar raids were conducted at INDEV Group of Companies, SRM Group, Lion Dates Impex Pvt Ltd and the Saravana Bhavan and Adyar Ananda Bhavan hotel chains.
