With the approaching Diwali festival, the booking of train tickets has now begun. As people travel to their hometowns during this festive season, trains and buses experience a surge in passengers. To accommodate the increased demand, the Tamil Nadu government has arranged special buses, while long-distance travelers prefer train journeys. To ensure a smooth travel experience and prevent overcrowding, train ticket bookings start 120 days in advance.
This year, Diwali falls on Sunday, November 12th. Hence, train ticket booking for the festival began today at 8 am. Both train ticket counters and the IRCTC online platform are now open for bookings. Travel dates for those booking tickets on the 12th are scheduled for November 9th. Similarly, those booking on the 13th can travel on November 10th, and those booking on the 14th can travel on November 11th. The Railway Department urges travelers to book their tickets in advance to avoid any last-minute rush.
