Southern Railway Announces Changes to Train Services!

Southern Railway has recently released a press statement detailing important updates regarding train services in the southern region of India. The changes, which will be in effect until July 2, aim to enhance passenger convenience and improve operational efficiency.

1. Cancellation of Tirupati-Gadpadi Passenger Train (No. 07581/07660): Southern Railway regrets to inform passengers that the Tirupati-Gadpadi Passenger Train will be completely canceled from June 26 to July 2. 

2. Altered Schedule for Chennai Central and Arakkonam-Tirupati Trains (No. 16057, 06753): Commencing from June 29 to July 2, trains traveling from Chennai Central and Arakkonam to Tirupati (No. 16057, 06753) will make an additional stop at Renikunda. Passengers are advised to take note of this change and plan their journeys accordingly.

3. Revised Departure and Arrival Points for Tirupati-Chennai Central Trains (No. 16054, 06728): From June 29 to July 2, trains departing from Tirupati to Chennai Central (No. 16054, 06728) will now commence their journeys from Renikunda and arrive at Chennai Central.  

4. Temporary Stoppage for Coimbatore-Tirupati Express (No. 22616/22615) and Villupuram-Tirupati Express (No. 16854/16853): On June 29, Coimbatore-Tirupati Express (No. 22616/22615) will make a brief stop at Katpadi. Similarly, Villupuram-Tirupati Express (No. 16854/16853) will also have a temporary halt at Katpadi from June 26 to July 2. Passengers traveling on these dates are advised to take note of the changes.

Furthermore, these trains will depart from Katpadi and continue their journeys to Coimbatore and Villupuram, respectively, during the aforementioned period.

In other news, the Tambaram-Chandrakachi Antiyothaya Express (Car No: 22842) and Bangalore-Howrah Cooler Express (No: 22864) have been canceled on Wednesday, June 28. Passengers are requested to reschedule their travel plans accordingly.

Lastly, the weekly express train (No: 20910) originating from Borbandar, Gujarat, and destined for Kochuveli, Kerala, will make a stop at Ernakulam on June 29, July 6, and July 13. On July 2, 9, and 16, this train (No: 20909) will depart from Ernakulam at 1 PM instead of Kochuveli and continue its journey to Bhopal as scheduled.
