Frost formation!!- Lowest temperature recorded now in this place in TN!!

On Monday night, the hill town Ooty recorded the lowest temperature of 2.8 degrees Celius. This has grabbed the attention of many now. For the last 10 days, this place has been experiencing cold weather conditions. It must be noted that some areas of Coonoor and Wellington etc had frost formation also.
Between 15th November and 26th February, normally the mercury would dip to zero degrees Celsius also in Ooty. The sensational piece of information is that in November 2008 the temperature reached minus 2 degrees celsius here. Information is that on 12th February 2022, the temperature touched 0.4 degrees Celisus here.
The erratic rainfall during the entire year has led to delay in the onset of winter and this was mentioned by a farmer. No damage has been done to the tea gardens in Ooty due to the frost formation. It is worthy to mention that the first frost formation here was on 8th January 1819.
