MRTS service disrupted

Few woman passengers noticed smoke coming from beneath the compartment of the train that had halted at Thirumalai (Mylapore) station and alerted railway officials at about 5.50 pm on Saturday. The commuters were evacuated and repairs were carried out. Train services resumed at 6.05 p.m.
Because of this the train service on the Chennai Beach-Velachery MRTS line was disrupted.
