Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa protests to PM about SPG conduct

Terming as �outrageous� a Special Protection Group official�s conduct in preventing Tamil Nadu�s DGP from receiving Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Tiruchy airport Friday, chief minister J. Jayalalithaa demanded action against him.
In a letter to the PM, she said a �suitable regimen� must be put in place to prevent such protocol breaches in future. It was �most astonishing� the SPG couldn�t recognize the DGP (K. Ramanujam) though he was in uniform, she added.
