Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre: Prospects for heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry!

As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 24 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few parts of the city.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has further informed that there are prospects for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the cyclonic formats in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
The notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard mentions:
"There are prospects for widespread mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder on 31st August (Wednesday, today) in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal due to the cyclonic format in the lower layers of the atmosphere over South Tamil Nadu and adjacent areas.
There are prospects for heavy to very heavy rains in Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Theni and Thenkasi districts in a few places and prospects for heavy rains in Tirupur, Dindigul, Erode, Salem Karur, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Thirupathur, Virudhunagar, Thoothukkudi, Thirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
1st September 2022:
There are prospects for widespread mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in several parts.
There are prospects for heavy to very heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in Nilgiri and Coimbatore districts. There are prospects for heavy rains in 1 or 2 places in Theni, Tirupur, Dindigul, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Thirupathur, Trichy, Perambalur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Thoothukkudi, Thenkasi, Thirunelveli, and Kanyakumari districts.
2nd September 2022:
There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in several places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
There are prospects for heavy rains in a few places in Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Thirupathur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupur and Thirunelveli Districts.
3rd September & 4th September 2022:
There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in several places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
There are prospects for heavy rains in Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Thirupathur, Vellore, Ranippettai, and Thiruvannamalai Districts.
