Tamil Nadu State Minister for Higher Education: Counselling for general cadre for engineering courses to commence on 10th September

The State Minister of Tamil Nadu for Higher Education, Ponmudi has informed that the counselling for the graduate engineering courses for the common or general cadre will commence on 10th September.
The Minister, while having a session with the press reporters, shared:
"The counselling for admission to the graduate engineering courses for the common or general cadre is scheduled to commence on 10th September.
The counselling for graduate engineering courses is conducted in 4 Phases until 13th November.
The subject of Tamil is being introduced this academic year in the syllabus for engineering courses. Further, a new syllabus is set to be introduced in this new academic year as well!
A 7.5% quota is allotted for the students who have studied from 6th Standard to +2 (12th Standard in Government High Schools! A special fraction will be accorded to the Arundhathiyar community in the SC/ST quota!
The classes for the 1st Year engineering course will commence by the end of September.
The students will be suitably advised to refrain from taking and getting addicted to drugs!"
Earlier, the counselling for a special cadre for admission to the graduate engineering courses was conducted 0n 20th August.
It had been announced earlier that the counselling for the common or general cadre will be conducted from 25th August. However, as the release of results of NEET got delayed, this was postponed.
The National Testing Agency informed us that the results of NEET will be released on 7th September. As such, the State Minister for Higher Education, Ponmudi has informed us that the counselling for the common or general cadre is now scheduled from 10th September!
