Meeting between GCC officials and residents today regarding the storm water drain or SWD project!!

The importance of integrated storm water drain project or SWD on the East Coast Road or ECR would be highlighted in the meeting between the GCC officials and the office bearers of the resident welfare associations of Sholinganallur and Perungudi zones today.
It was mentioned by some sources belonging to GCC that Chennai Corporation has proposed to make a presentation on the importance of the SWD project of the Kovalam basin for the public.
Place of meeting:
The meeting today would take place at 10am in the Suganya Thirumana Mandapam belonging to NeelankaraI.
Point is that the office bearers have been asked to take part in the meeting and avail the opportunity to express their views regarding SWD construction in the project area. To pump out 4200 litres of water per minute at Nungambakkam subway, GCC has installed additional pump sets with 22 horsepower capacity plus a 625 KVA generator to avoid flooding in the monsoon season.
