For the first time in TN, awards have been announced by the Tourism department!!

Before 26th of August 2022, persons could apply through an online process for the awards to be given by the tourism dept under various categories. This would be the first time ever in Tamil Nadu.
The press release from the Tamil Nadu tourism department stated that for the socio-economic development of a country tourism plays a huge role. It is a known fact that the tourists engage in several activities related to entertainment, adventure sports, dance, music, festivals, cuisine, health, education and business to gain experiences. With the advancement of transportation, communication and economy, the demand for tourism has become more now.
To recognise the winners in tourism, tour operators etc, TN tourism department has introduced awards for the first time ever now. On 27th September 2022, World Tourism Day would be celebrated and as a part of it the awards would be given.
It is now brought out that these awards would encourage tourism entrepreneurs and to encourage healthy competition amongst various tourism stakeholders in TN to promote tourism.
Point is that awards would be given to the best tour operator in TN, best domestic tour operator, best travel partner, best air partner plus to others like best accommodation, best restaurant, TNTDC best restaurant, accommodation and boathouse, best district for tourism promotion, clean tourism destination and many others. Information is that on the World Tourism Day the Tourism department would present the awards to the selected ones.
Applications for the awards could be downloaded and completed online at www.tntourismawards.com and must be submitted online by 26th of August 2022.
