Superb!! Details regarding the 59th Convocation at IIT Madras!!

Wednesday, 13th July 2022 was an important day in the lives of many students at IIT Madras.
Yesterday, 59th Convocation was held at this premier educational institute and 2-084 students graduated / This IIT M was formally established in the year 1959 and yesterday 60000th degree was given to its students. After a gap of 2 long years, this was the first time physical convocation was held at IITM and it grabbed eyeballs.
The press release from IITM mentioned that as many as 2620 degrees including dual/joint degrees were awarded to the students. Chairman of Tata Sons Mr. N. Chandraesekaran appreciated the graduates and pointed out that the future would be digital oriented. He spoke about how adoption of digital technology has become a behavioural change and how no domain industry would be leading by itself.
It was mentioned by Mr. Pawan Goenka, chairman Board of Governors at IIT-M that the current decade was a very important one for India. He threw light on how India today has got opportunities like never before in the past across various sectors. He concluded that the graduation has happened at a correct time now for the students to make a difference in the lives of many people.
