Google maps are widely used by many now as these maps would help a person to navigate across the country much easily. The latest news is that Google has added one important feature in Maps. The Google maps would now show details about the air quality index or AQI also present in their cities or in other parts of the country. The truth is that this new feature is available on both android as well as in the iOS but in the USA only now. It is worthy to note that AQI is the measuring standard for air quality in that particular area.
From the Google maps, the smartphone users would be able to know whether the air is smoggy or smoky or bad quality or wonderful etc. With the availability of air quality details, the users would be able to plan easily and go to some new places etc. It is noteworthy that the users would get AQI numbers along with the guidance for outdoor activities. The users would also get details about when the AQI information was last updated and various links to know more etc.
By these ways, AQI would be obtained using Google Maps:
First, users must go to Google Maps and then tap on the box icon that is present on the middle- right. The users must click on the air quality to change the feature on the maps. Finally, users must tap on any AQI bubbles to get details about air quality data for the city or region etc.
It is worthy to note that the data about AQI would come from government trusted agencies.. From PurpleAir, information about air quality would be available. This PurpleAir is a low cost sensor network is known.
