The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission undertakes the responsibility for all recruitments of the vacant posts in different State governments of Tamil Nadu by conducting various stages of the recruitment including conducting written examinations, interviews, and verification of documents/certificates, etc.
As such, TNPSC had announced the Group-4 examinations last month to be conducted for the recruitment of various vacant posts including Village Administration Officer, Junior Assistants, Typists, Shorthand stenographers, etc., making up for a total of 7306 posts.
Subsequently, receipt of the application forms commenced and a large number of candidates have applied eagerly.
As the academic qualification for many of the posts asking for a pass in the 10th Standard, information was gathered that within a week, around 7 Lakhs applications were received.
The deadline for applying was initially set as 29th April. As of 24th April, 13 Lakhs candidates had applied for these posts!
With the deadline for application as announced by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) having concluded yesterday midnight (Thursday, 28th April, yesterday night, a total of 2111357 applications were received.
When comparing the number of applications received with the actual number of vacancies, it is evident that for each vacant post, 300 applications have been received!
With the deadline having passed, the written examination for these posts is scheduled to be conducted on 24th July throughout the State of Tamil Nadu.
