Just similar to various corporate firms in Chennai, the human resources management belonging to GCC would also become better. Point is that the civic body has decided to draft IT (Information Technology) rules. The proposal has been sent to the state govt to draft rules and this was according to an officer belonging to GCC. It is now said that after the government sanction all IT enabled services related to establishments would be merged.
The GCC would also reorganise and create new posts in the IT wing of the civic body. The new system would be exclusively for the human resources management
The officer later clarified that salary disbursement, pension payment, tracking of leaves and other employees related in one system would be integrated. Few software applications have been in use already and they are not comprehensive. Point is that recently GCC senior officers met top officials belonging to the municipal administration and water supply department to discuss the proposal.
