Prospects for lockdown again in Tamil Nadu? The Health Secretary explains!

With the news of certain students and citizens in the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-Chennai) being infected with coronavirus, panic has gripped the Chennai Citizens again!
With this development and a trend of increase in the infected list, there are questions among the Chennai Citizens whether lockdown in the State of Tamil Nadu will be reintroduced or more stringent regulations will be imposed as a preventive measure to check the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Further, lockdown �related news is being floated around in the social networking media!
In this situation, the Secretary for Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, J. Radhakrishnan, had a session with the press reporters, He shared:
�As 32 more citizens have been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus in IIT, Chennai, the total number of infected persons has increased to 111!
I appeal to the public not to believe the rumours that lockdown is to be implemented in the State of Tamil Nadu. This is not the right time for the Social Networking Media to indulge in spreading baseless rumours!
The real situation is that when 1000 citizens are checked for coronavirus infection, only 3 citizens are confirmed to be infected! Further, activities have been initiated to check the spread of the coronavirus infection.
As such, there are no avenues for the public to be concerned or panic!
Further, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the public MUST wear face masks. They MUST observe Social Distancing. Citizens need to get vaccinated!�
