Normalcy has returned back once again now and people are in a happy mood!!

There are 4 consecutive holidays now starting from Tamil New Year today till Sunday and this has led to more footfalls in the Chennai airport now. The ticket price also doubled now.

It is known that for the last 2 years from 2020 till 2022, the Coronavirus pandemic has caused several problems to the public and travelling has reduced. With the restrictions lifted now, people want to travel to their native places to be with their families and friends.

Chennai airport was buzzing yesterday as many passengers went to places like Madurai, Kovai, Trichy, Tuticortin, Port Blair etc. The sources at Chennai airport said that the tickets were sold quickly. Many people showed huge interest to go to places like Kodaikanal and Ooty etc for the summer. The maximum ticket price for Chennai-Madurai flight would usually cost Rs 5000 and now it costs Rs 10000. From Rs 4000, the cost of a flight ticket to Trichy has increased to Rs 8000 now.

Those who want to travel to Goa would have to shell out Rs 9000 now from Rs 3000 earlier. It is important to note that the flight ticket cost for Port Blair now is Rs 29000 and earlier it was Rs 6000.

The tariffs have become more now and this has not stopped the people from enjoying. The hotels and resorts have been booked already by many.  According to a senior manager of a star hotel it was clear that many now want to have fun after being inside their houses for 2 years.

He added that there are now 4 consecutive holidays so the people are eager to go with their families to various tourist spots. He concluded that the people were not bothered about hikes in fare and tariffs etc.
