From Today onwards, strict action, penalty etc will be taken against Chennai school kids for traffic rules violation!!

Gone are the days where the school children could violate the traffic rules and go scot free in Chennai!!
The Chennai Traffic police would not be showing any mercy hereafter towards the school children who violate traffic rules. The school children violating the important traffic rules would be dealt with strictly and a penalty would be collected from them. It must not be forgotten that recently the govt of TN grabbed many eyeballs when it issued emergency advisory notice to all chief education officers regarding instructing the institutes not to allow the students who come to the schools using their vehicles.
It is important to mention here that the police department would also be creating awareness regarding the traffic rules among the school goers, parents, auto drivers, vans and cars carrying kids to the schools etc in Chennai. On Monday, in as many as in 355 schools, awareness programmes were started.
The students were briefed regarding the harmful effects of underage driving plus on the legal consequences that would have to be faced by both the child and their parents etc. The police department has asked auto, van and car drivers not to overload or carry more number of school children and risk the lives of the children.
