Out of more than 750 complaints received in the last 6 months, GCC has resolved nearly 500 complaints received through social media alone. This has been appreciated now.
Since the month of September 2021, GCC has received as many as 763 complaints and 497 complaints have been resolved. This was according to data belonging to GCC.
It was mentioned by an officer from GCC that on Twitter, the highest number of complaints, 651, was received by GCC. He added that in the monsoon season majority of the complaints were due to rain based issues in Chennai. It is learnt that in the Covid-19 period majority of complaints were on vaccination camps and issuing of vaccination certificates etc. Through social media, GCC accepted even vaccine related requests.
It must be taken into account that during a 6 month time 21 issues about downloading of vaccination certificates were sorted out. GCC received 33 home vaccination requests and 5 queries on property tax. It is really sensational to mention that GCC has got 56446 followers on FB, 399021 followers on Instagram and 1.84lakh followers on Twitter. It is worthy to note that 81percent between the ages of 18 to 34 follow Instagram of GCC and 50% of the same age group follow FB of GCC.
