This would become a reality in the future and the CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone on Monday 14th march 2022. It is noteworthy that the foundation stone was laid for Standard Chartered Global Business Services GBS largest office campus globally in the DLF Downtown project in Taramani. One million square feet of land would be used to build office buildings and for this the reality firm DLF would be investing an amount close to Rs 550 crores. When completed, the facility would provide office space for 70000 IT professionals and it would play an important role in achieving TN state goal of having $ 1 trillion GSDP by the year 2030.
It is now said that IT and ITES parks would be created over 6.8million sq ft and it would be possible by the JV with TIDCO investing Rs 50 crores. It was mentioned by an official release that DLD Downtown spread over 27 acres in Taramani has multi-block campus and is being constructed in phases with an investment of Rs 5000 crores. The superb piece of information is that many amenities like restaurants, cafes, a cr�che, medical centre, food courts etc would be established.
Yesterday, the CM also inaugurated an ice cream factory in Madurai through video conferencing. Constructed at a cost of Rs 65.39 crores, the factory has a capacity to produce 3000 litres of ice cream.
