Tamil Nadu State Government�s permission to entertain 100% audience in cinema theatres and 100% customers in commercial shopping complexes, hotels, restaurants, and other eateries comes into effect from today (Tuesday, 16th February).
Lockdown conditions have been prevailing in Tamil Nadu over the last several months as a measure to prevent the raging coronavirus pandemic waves. A detailed high-level meeting was conducted on 12th February, presided by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin regarding the review of the prevailing status on the coronavirus pandemic and regulations and other preventive actions.
The review was conducted with the main objective of the lifeline of the public and as such, more relaxations have been given while Tamil Nadu State Government has appealed to the citizens to follow the important guidelines of wearing facial masks while being in public places and also strictly observe the social distancing norm.
With the above status, the State Government of Tamil Nadu had announced that the prevailing lockdown conditions are extended until 2nd March.
- Accordingly, a maximum of 200 citizens can participate in occasions such as weddings ad associated events. Nursery Schools and children play-schools are set to open today (Tuesday, 16th February).
- Further, exhibitions and fairs will be allowed to be conducted from today (16th February). Similarly, in hostels and other boarding houses, 100% of customers can gather and eat. Gymnasiums, Physical Exercise Halls, Yoga Training Centres, and film theatres can function with 100% capacity from today (Tuesday, 16th February).
- Commercial shopping complexes, Entertainment & Amusement Parks and Centres can also function 100%. Hair-dressing saloons and Beauty Parlours can also function at 100% capacity from today!
