Superb announcement from the CM- Good news for the TN govt employees and teachers!!

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K Stalin has announced that all TN government employees, teachers plus those who have the eligibility to receive hike in the Dearness Allowance or DA would receive an increase in DA.
It must be taken into note that from the current year 1st January onwards DA would be increased from 17percent to 31percent. The employees belonging to co-operative society were expecting a rise in their DA also. Recently, an announcement was made regarding the stopping of an increase in DA for the employees of the co-operative society. Mr. O. Paneerselvam of AIADMK party and others have insisted the TN government regarding increase in DA to be provided to the employees belonging to the co-operative society. A petition has been sent to the CM of TN, minister of cooperative society Mr. I. Periasamy etc regarding DA increase for the employees belonging to the ration shops in TN.
The petition stated that in 2021 when the AIADMK government announced a new salary increase order. As per the order, it was clear that out of 114 percent DA 100% could be attached to the basic salary and the rest 14% DA could be issued. Order did not mention that when the TN government employees receive their DA increase then an increase in DA must also be issued to the employees of cooperative societies. It must be noted that for the employees belonging to the cooperative ration shops across TN an announcement about increase in DA did not come. This has been due to the confusion created by the previous government regarding hike in DA.
