What is making the Tamil Nadu school teachers upset and angry now?

The students are mischievous and usually teachers would have a tough time with them. This has been happening for a long time in the schools. Now, most of the school teachers have got used to the mischievous nature of the students.
The teachers are facing a unique issue in the schools now. The teachers are irked because the students leave their textbooks at the schools itself after their classes get over at the end of the day.
Teachers were of the view that the students do not value the free textbooks that are issued by the government. Academic performance of the students might get affected by this and this was according to some teachers. It was brought out by Mr. S, Janardhanan, president, TN Vocational Teachers Association that teachers have been noticing that the students in most classes prefer to leave their textbooks in the schools itself. It is worthy to note that if the students do not carry their textbooks to their homes then it would not be possible for them to do homework or study etc.
Various students belonging to middle schools to senior secondary classes have been leaving their textbooks in the schools. It was later mentioned by a teacher that the students do not give much importance to the textbooks that have been given to them free of cost. In the matriculation schools etc, the students have to buy the textbooks themselves and therefore they take their textbooks to their homes. Moreover, the parents would also question if they leave the textbooks in the schools. Another teacher spoke about how the students, despite many instructions, do not carry their textbooks to their homes. It is now said that the government must stop providing free textbooks to the students and by that only they would understand the value of money and textbooks.
