NO Jewellery Loan Debt Concession for 35 Lakhs Citizens!

The Department of Cooperatives of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that out of the 48 Lakhs citizens who had taken jewellery loan from the Chennai Cooperative Banks, 15 Lakhs citizens WILL NOT BE GIVEN ANY JEWELLERY LOAN CONCESSION!
A FAIRLY LARGE NUMBER OF CITIZENS HAVE AVAILED THE JEWELLERY LOANS FROM THE Cooperative Banks and as such, it was expected that these loans will be waived off!
On this issue of jewellery loans, the De3paerrtment of Cooperatives undertook a detailed review and analysis. Based on this analysis, the Department of Cooperatives has released the new r3egulations for the will of the jewellery loans and the list of the particulars of jewellery loans.
As per this:
- For those who have paid the loans in full, no waiver will be given
- In case the citizen has even a single gram above 400 grams, no waiver will be given.
- As regards the government employees and their families and the employees of the cooperatives, NO WAIVAL will be given!
- For those who had given the wrong Aadhar number, those who had not given the ration card details, and those with white family ration cards, no waiver will be given.
- For the 25% of the citizens who had taken jewellery loan and were considered eligible, the jewellery loan will be waived and the jewels pledges would be returned in a special function organised by the State Government of Tamil Nadu before Pongal.�
With this, the Department of Cooperatives has clearly explained that out of the 4884726 citizens who availed jewel loans, these jewellery LOANS WILL NOT BE WAIVED FOR 3537693 CITIZENS!
