Are the schools in TN becoming unsafe for the students?

For a long time, the school premises were considered as a very safe environment for the students and parents used to send their children to the schools without any hesitation. Things have changed now.
In the recent times in Chennai and in Tamil Nadu, the students have been subjected to sexual harassment in the schools. This has made many to worry. Now, the opposition parties have mentioned how the schools are not at all safe for the students.
It was pointed out by the opposition party person that the incidents regarding sexual harassment in the school premises have increased in the state of Tamil Nadu now. He threw light on rowdies attacking police personnel and said there is now poor law and order situation in the state.
Just recently, a 10 year old girl`s body was found in partially burnt condition near school premises in Dindigul. This incident has not only created panic among the public but also showcased the poor security in and around schools. It is now brought out that the chief minister of TN must take steps to improve the safety of the public as well as the students. The poor administration in the educational institutions has led to the schools becoming unsafe for the students now in Tamil Nadu.
Many are shocked now regarding the recent incident of wall collapse in a school in Tirunelveli. It is now said that the school education department must hold inspections regularly to avoid these types of incidents in the future. Point is that there should not be any quality compromise in the school buildings.
The wall collapsed in the 143 year old Schaffer Higher Secondary School in Tirunelveli at 11am when the students had recess break. It is said that the recent very heavy rains would have weakened the wall that did not have any foundation.
