Many persons who meet with accidents on the roads are not taken to the nearby hospitals by the public for treatment immediately!!
The chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin would be launching a scheme today to provide an amount of Rs 5000 to those persons who play a huge role in admitting accident victims in the hospitals for treatment. To encourage the general public of TN to help the road accident victims get treated at the nearby hospitals, the Federal Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced a gift scheme.
It must be noted that in this context in the last month the Tamil Nadu Transport Department had announced a reward of Rs 5000 to those who admit the road accident victims in the nearby hospitals
The main objective behind this announcement of Rs 5000 was to make the public help the accident victims to get proper treatment without any delay. In a year, this amount of Rs 5000 would be provided to a person for a maximum of 5 times if he or she helps in taking the road accident victim to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Information gathered is that all accidents would be inspected by a district wide assessment committee headed by district attorney. The selected persons would be provided the amount of Rs 5000 by the chief minister of TN who would be launching the scheme today at Melmaruvathur. It is now brought out that in as many as in 610 hospitals, the chief minister would be launching the Lets Save Life scheme.
