The 8th Mega Vaccination Camp scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, 6th November) stands cancelled!
Subsequently, this 8th Mega Vaccination Camp has been postponed to next week!
An official explained in detail the reasons for the above cancellation:
Due to the depression zone formed in the Bay of Bengal, it has been raining heavily in 16 districts in the State of Tamil Nadu over the last few days! As such, hardships are encountered in setting up the vaccination camps!
Apart from this, during this prevailing Deepavali festival holidays, the officers and the staff of the local administration Departments have taken leave for the celebration of Deepavali in their native places as such, if the camp is organised, these officers and staff need to return cancelling their leave causing unnecessary bitter feelings!!
Keeping all the above aspects in mind, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to cancel the scheduled 8th Mega Vaccination Cap on Saturday, 6th November and instead, organise in the next week!
The official further informed that though the scheduled 8th Mega Vaccination Camp is cancelled, the task of making house visits in the rural/village areas and administering vaccines will continue!
