Travel rush for Deepavali: 16540 special buses!

For the citizens/families who plan to reveal to their native places to celebrate the Deepavali festival there, 16540 buses are to be operated from the Chennai Metro City and other cities to different places!
The government had decided to operate special buses for the occasion of Deepavali to meet the travel rush. For this, the Tamil Nadu State Government Transport Minister, Rajakannappan, conducted a special meeting/review with the senior transport officials at the Chief Secretariat.
At the end of this review meeting, the State Transport Minister informed that the Tamil Nadu State Government has decided to operate special buses on the occasion of Deepavali.
As per this, 10000 special buses are to operate from 1st November. To facilitate the citizens/families planning a trip to the places to celebrate Deepavali, 16540 special buses are to be operated.
In a similar vein, after the festival, 17719 buses are to be operated to facilitate the citizens return to their residential locations.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has appealed to the public to avail of this facility to the maximum extent.
