Tourism Village to be set up in Mamallapuram - TN Government!

Presently, discussions are in progress in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on the presentation of the demands by the Department of Handloom and Textiles. While the policy of the Department was explained, it was announced that a ‘TOURISM VILLAGE’ will be set up at the entrance of Mahabalipuram at Rs. 5.61 Crores.
At the entrance, a giant pillar - ‘Sthhopi’ - will be installed for the proposed ‘Tourism Village’ at a cost of Rs. 1.8 Crores!
