Voters of newly formed 9 TN districts can include their names in voters list through registration officers!!

Those persons whose names have been left out from the voters list need not worry now!!
It is now brought out that the voters belonging to the newly formed 9 districts in TN could register or add their names through the assembly constituency voter registration officer. This was mentioned by the TN state election commission. In the news note, the election commission has pointed out that for the sake of rural local elections the newly formed district like Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Vellore, Ranipet, Thirupattur,Tirunelveli and Tenkasi have been busy in preparing the re-aligned ward wise voters list for the TN state election commission local bodies.
According to the TN state election commission it was clear that from the above mentioned 9 districts voters names from the voters list for assembly constituencies must not be excluded and the names must be added. They must be allowed to vote in the local body elections to fulfil their democracy duty. It is important to note that in the above 9 districts the voters list for the local systems are not prepared alone.
Information gathered is that the voters list for TN state assembly constituencies was released on 19-3-2021 by the Indian election commission. Based on this list, voters list for the ward wise village panchayat of local bodies gets prepared. Ward wise voters list of village panchayat union divisions would be prepared from the 2021 assembly election voters list. This would be done by the officers belonging to the above said divisions and it would be published on 31th August in the respective divisions.
