In TN, teachers of govt schools are going to schools for this reason!!

There are enough indications now that reveal that the government schools in TN might reopen anytime soon!!
The government school teachers who have been teaching the students through online classes for all these days are going to the schools from 2nd of August. Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, the schools for students belonging to pre KG to class 8 in TN have been shut down is well known.
For a period of 3 months, the schools reopened for the students of class 9 to 12 in January 2021. Later, the schools were closed for these classes too as the number of Coronavirus infection cases started increasing in TN. It was later brought to light by a senior officer belonging to the school education department that few teachers belonging to government institutions have been reporting for their work on rotation basis for the sake of admission works for this current academic year.
He added that the decrease in the Covid-19 infection in TN has led to the teachers going to the schools to keep the classrooms ready in case the government decided to reopen the schools.
In TN, there are about 45000 government schools and government aided schools and these schools have about 3lakhs teachers. Information is that the headmasters of these schools have been instructed to make sure that the teachers have got atleast one vaccination dose. The senior officer then mentioned that all teachers would be preparing the timetable for subjects in their respective classes plus they would also be involved in the cleaning works of the classrooms.
Distribution of text books for the students would be carried out by the teachers. Point to be noted is that the teachers going to the schools would be teaching the students from the classrooms through Google Meet or Zoom, WhatsApp, telegram etc.
