Resumption of omnibus services in Tamil Nadu

Due to the prevailing crisis of the raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic for the last18 months or more, various public utility services including trains, flights and buses including omnibuses remain stopped!
As such, the public has been put to great hardship for their travel! So, the question has arisen among the public regarding the resumption of omnibus services in Tamil Nadu.
In this regard, the President of the Omnibus Owners� Association Anbazhagan shared:
�Giving due consideration to our prevailing critical the situation, we have already informed the Department of Transport of the Tamil Nadu State Government that WE WILL NOT RESUME OPERATIONS UNTIL TAX EXEMPTION IS GRANTED FOR THE PERIOD APRIL, MAY, AND JUNE.
As such, only by not resuming omnibus services until end June, we can obtain the tax exemption.
Hence, as per the prevailing situation, we are constrained NOT TO OPERATE THE OMNIBUS SERVICES.
However, the operation of a few omnibuses will be resumed from today (Tuesday, 29th June. All arrangements are being made to ensure resumption of 100% omnibus services operations from 1st July!�
As such, with the proposal of resumption of 100% omnibus services, the maintenance work schedule for the buses has been taken up at full swing and is in progress!
