The National Highway Authority of India has informed that in case vehicles wait over a distance of 100 metres at the tollgates for paying toll charges, THERE WILL BE NO NEED FOR THESE VEHICLES TO PAY AN7Y TOLL CHARGES!

In a notification released in this regard by the National Highway Authority of India, it is mentioned:

FasTag has been mandatory throughout the country for all 4-wheelers. As at present, more or less, FasTag stickers have been fixed in all 4-wheelers. This has increased the quantum of paperless (digital) financial transactions in the tollgates! At the same time, the long waiting hours for the 4-wheelers at the tollgates has also reduced considerably! As such, the public has benefited quite substantially!

In the above scenario, new regulations/guidelines are set to be implemented to reduce the waiting time for the vehicles at the toll gates.

Accordingly, a yellow line will be drawn at a distance of 100 metres from the toll payment counter. If vehicles are waiting even beyond this line to pay toll charges, THESE VEHICLES CAN PASS THE TOLLGATE WITHOUT PAYING ANY TOLL CHARGES!

These new regulations have been implemented to ensure that any vehicle MUST NOT WAIT FOR MORE THAN 10 MINUTES at the payment counter!

The notification mentions that the above regulations are set to be implemented shortly!
