Free online NEET coaching was done in the past for the medical aspirants in TN and this would resume soon.

The class12 board exams have been postponed is well known to us . The TN government does not want to lose further student participation for TN free online coaching. Hence it has decided to resume the coaching again. In November 2020, the free online coaching through e-Box platform started for the students of government as well as government aided schools in TN.

In the month of October in 2020, 300 MBBS seats have been earmarked for the students from government institutions and 7.5% reservation was implemented. Several issues like lockdown, family issues etc have resulted in poor active participants now. It is learnt that the active participants have gone below 3000 now. To help the students prepare for their board exams, the free coaching was suspended in March 2021.

It was pointed out by a senior officer belonging to the school education department that the authorities were planning to resume NEET online coaching after class11 board exams. As the board exams got postponed, the TN government has decided to restart the online free NEET coaching. The enrolled students would be contacted by the district education officers.

By next week, the resumption of free online NEET coaching would begin. Those students who are not participating in this coaching would be approached for finding out the reason behind their discontinuation. They would be made to enrol once aging for the free coaching.

As most of the interactive sessions were designed in English, there was a communication gap between the students in rural places and the trainers. These rural students want the language barrier to be sorted out. This was according to an official. He assured that this issue would be sorted out and the training would have more e-lectures with explanations and improved question banks.
