In TN, schools to conduct online exam for the class 10 students

The students of class 10 have been declared all pass by the TN government. There is some confusion now regarding how the marks would be calculated for these class 10 students. The TN government till now has not announced guidelines to calculate the marks are well known. In this scenario, the private schools in TN have decided to conduct annual exams online for the class 10 students in the month of April.
It is now said that the fate of lakhs of students of class 10 in the state run schools are at stake as their schools have not conducted even a single test from 19th January till 22nd March. As most of the government school students in TN do not have access to internet facilities, it would not be possible to conduct online exams for calculating marks for the class 10 students.
It is worthy to mention here that the students of state run schools and their parents have already expressed concerns over prevailing confusion on allocating marks for their kids without any test.
It was later mentioned by a senior officer belonging to the school education department that the mark sheets were already kept ready with the DGE. He added that the authorities have been waiting for the TN government to announce the parameters to calculate marks for the class 10 students. The marks would help the students to get their desired stream in the class 11.
Annual exams or revision tests would be conducted in all the subjects in the first week of April for the class 10 students so that the schools would be able to keep the scored marks to be printed on the mark sheets. This was according to Mr. K.R. Nandhakumar, general secretary of TN Private Nursery, Primary, Matriculation Higher secondary and CBSE Schools Association.
