Finalisation of BE, MBBS counseling results on hold

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has issued an order to the Anna University to hold the finalization of the results of the counseling for the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) 2013 under the Sports Quota until further notice.
The move came in the wake of a petition filed by S. Saranya of Srivilliputhur who said that she was not called for counseling to the engineering and medical counseling in spite of submitting her certificates and all related documents. Saranya is a throw ball player and had applied for the BE and MBBS admissions under the Special Reservation for Eminent Sports Person (Sports Quota).
The judge has ordered the Anna University Registrar, Higher Education Principal Secretary and TNEA Secretary to allow the petitioner to attend the counseling sessions and award her the marks.
