DGP Shailendra Babu to hold additional charge of the Fire-fighting Department.

Director-General of Police Shailendra Babu has been given the additional charge to head the Department of Fire-fighting.
DGP S. M. Jaffer, who headed the Department of Fire-fighting retired on 31st December. Subsequently, it was ordered that the additional responsibility of heading the Department of Fire-fighting has been given to the DGP Shailendra Babu, presently heading the Tamil Nadu Railway Police Department.
After this order, DGP Shailendra Babu assumed this additional responsibility of heading the Department of Fire-fighting on Friday (1st January) and started functioning.
