Rs 1lakh flight ticket fare - Travelling to USA and Canada is costing more for the Chennai passengers

Who would have thought that one day the one-way flight ticket to the USA would cost around Rs 1lakh!!
Chennai passengers would have to transit via Dubai or Abu Dhabi if they want to go to the USA or Canada now. This has been found to be expensive. These two are the only two international hubs that have been operating flights after flights were suspended to the USA and Europe. The important information is that the flight fares have gone up by almost 50% now due to less number of options present.
One lakh as ticket fare:
It must be noted that the passengers are forced to shell out Rs 1lakh as ticket fare for the one way tickets from Chennai. In the normal circumstances, the ticket would have cost Rs 55000 to Rs 65000 only. For the sake of economical tickets with good baggage allowance, the passengers from Chennai would have to depend on the flights through Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha etc. Point is that these routes are full as many have been travelling to these places for the New Year vacation.
The option that is available now for the Chennai passengers is to fly via Delhi by direct flights operated by Air India. This was as per MR. Basheer Ahmed, TAFI. He added that the less number of seats in the flights have been creating issues for many passengers heading to the USA for the upcoming New Year. After the flight ban to Europe and the UK, Emirates airlines have reduced the frequency of the flights.
