The results of NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) conducted in 2 Phases for admission of students for medical graduate courses is scheduled to be released today.
NEET, which had to be postponed due to prevailing the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic was conducted on 13th September with severe rules and restrictions throughout the country.
Over 15 Lakhs candidates had applied to write NEET, a pass in which is mandatory to pursue the graduate medical courses – MBBS and BDS. However, only 85% of the applicants actually wrote the NEET on 13th September. 1.17 Lakhs candidates have written NEET from the State of Tami Nadu.
Subsequently, as emphasised by the Supreme Court, a second NEET was conducted in the 2nd Phase for the candidates who could not write in the 1st Phase due to coronavirus infection and being from Containment Zones throughout the country who wrote NEET on 14th October.
Earlier, the Central Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal had informed that the results of NEET would be released on 16th |October. Accordingly, the results of NEET is scheduled to be released today (Friday, 16th October) in 2 Phases on the internet!
