The officials of the National Highway Authority Commission have announced that the toll charges are up in 20 toll-grates in the State of Tami Nadu 48 toll-gates are functioning in the State of Tamil Nadu under the National Highway Commission.
Out of these 48 toll-gates, toll charges are being revised upwards in 20 toll-gates from tomorrow (1st September, Tuesday) in the locations listed:
Omalur, Veerachozhapuram, Mettuppatti (all Salem district), Pudhur Pandiyapuram (Virudhunagar district), Yeliyaarpathi (Madurai district), Samyapuram (Trichy district), Ponnambalappatti (Trichy District), Kodairoadu (Dindigul district), Venachettiyur (Karur district), Vijayamangalam (Kuarapaayam), Paayam (Dharmapuri), Sengurichi (Uundhurpettai district), Morattandi, Thirumaanthurai (Vilupuram district), Vaazhavandhaankottai (Thanjavur district), Nathakkarai (Salem district), Manavaasi (Karur), Vaikundham (Saen district), Vikravaandi (Villupuram district), and Thirupaaraaiththurai (Trichy District),
The National Highways Authority Commission Officials have informed that depending on the type and quality of the vehicle, the to charges are up from Rs. 5 to Rs. 15. They further informed that this increase is as per usual routine procedure.
