Railway Administration cancels LL Express and Suburban Trains until further announcement!

As country-wide lockdown was imposed as a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, all the express trains, suburban trains, etc., were cancelled throughout the country.
As the lockdown continued to be extended in successive Phases, the ban on trains also continued.
12 Pairs of special trains are being operated from 12th May in the Rajdhani routes. Additional 100 pairs of special trains are operated from 1st June.
Apart from this, Railways had already announced the cancellation of the regular express trains until 12th August (today).
Information was released 3 days ago that these trains will stand cancelled until 30th September. However, the Railway The administration denied this.
In this situation, the Railway Administration announced yesterday (Tuesday, 11th August) that all the regular trains are being cancelled until further announcement regarding this.
In a notification in the regard released by the Railways, it is mentioned;
“All the regular express and suburban trains which were operated prior to the lockdown imposition are now being cancelled till a further announcement regarding this. However, the 230 additional special taints operated will continue.
In Mumbai, as requested by the State Government of Maharashtra, to enable the essential workers to travel to their workplace and back, suburban trains are being operated on a lesser frequency. These will continue to operate as well.
The patronization of the public for the special trains is being monitored continuously, In case required, additional trains will be operated.”
