In September, arts and science online classes in TN to start for the students

The online process that has been used for the admissions of the engineering aspirants is now being used for those seeking admissions in the arts and science courses in the TN state run colleges.  This would be the first time this process would be used and it has been launched by the Higher Education Department.

There are over 90,000 seats in the government and government aided arts and science colleges in the state of TN now. Fact is more than 3lkahs students are competing for these seats in these colleges.

All the admission formalities would be completed in the month of August itself and the online classes for the students would start from September. This was according to the Directorate of Collegiate Education.

It is important to note that currently a little above 300 government and government aided Arts and Sciences colleges in TN provide UG, PG, B. Ed, M. Phil and PhD courses for about one lakh students.

In this academic year, of the total number of seats about 92000 seats would be available for various Arts and Sciences courses. All the admission process would be carried out online this time due to the threat of Covid-19 infection and this was according to an official belonging to the Directorate of Collegiate Education. Different admission processes that would be done through online registration, preparing rank lists and section processes etc.

Now, the students are uploading their original certificates as per the schedule. He hinted that once this process gets over then the preparation of the rank list would take place and then selecting the candidates would be done. 

Information is all the students who got admissions would be intimated through SMS. Conducting online classes would not be that difficult as the TN government has provided free laptops for the plus two students.
