Posted on: 20/Jul/2020 9:46:56 AM
Zones such as Anna Nagar, Teynampet, Kodambakkam, and Adyar have now got higher positivity rate when compared to other zones in north Chennai. This was confirmed by Mr. G. Prakash, Chennai Corporation commissioner on Sunday, 19th July.

Mr. Prakash was very busy yesterday inaugurating the distribution of Rs 1000 assistance to the persons having disabilities in Chennai city. He mentioned that the positivity rate in Chennai was 10 to 12 %. The positivity rate of 20 to 22% was witnessed in the 4 zones belonging to central Chennai.

For the officials use, a portal has been created and in this portal streetwise and division, wise cases are being updated. For the containment plans, the data is being used.  It is brought out that around 60 percent of new cases reported were from the 45 zones. For the sake of creating a database, GCC would collect information on those with disabilities in Chennai city before the end of July.

For rolling out special schemes for these persons, the database would be useful. At present, around 60,000 persons with disabilities have been identified and these persons have national disability ID cards. All those who have ID cards would be given cash.

As per the GO, GCC has distributed an amount of Rs 1000 to as many as14663 street vendors belonging to the Chennai city. Information is GCC has already identified around 38,000 street vendors. Many vendors have gone to their native places also and cash would be distributed to these vendors when they come back to Chennai city.

Mr. G. Prakash later spoke about how the complete lockdown on Sundays has been very effective in slowing down the spread of Coronavirus infection. It is important to note that a complete lockdown has been implemented to restrict the people going out in large numbers as it could lead to more Coronavirus cases.Being one of the leading Investment Service Professionals and consultants based at Chennai, it has always been our endeavor to add value to our existing clients as well as the general public in the area of Personal Finance on regular basis.

After seeing the lows in March, equity markets have been on a comeback rally. On the other hand, the falling interest rates from bonds and other fixed-income instruments have turned real returns into the negative zone.

In this scenario, we thought it`s appropriate to give our views over an online talk & we cordially invite to you attend the same along with your friends.
