It has been revealed by some sources that the general lockdown in the state of TN would continue with relaxations. This would be until the pandemic is brought under control. Decision was taken by the TN government about not extending the intense lockdown when the current lockdown in Chennai and Madurai ends on 30th June.
Between 25th June and 30th June, there won�t be any zoning of the districts in TN. Based on the e-pass only the inter-district movement of vehicles in TN would be allowed.
It was then pointed out by an officer that the CM of TN would take a decision on the relaxations after holding a meeting with the public health experts committee on 29th June. Information is the state government has decided to continue the lockdown framework till the disease is brought under control and the last restrictions get removed. There would not be activities like public events, public gatherings, cinema theatres etc.
It was brought out by CM of TN on Wednesday, 24th June that TN government had decided about suspending inter-district movement of both public and private transport within earlier demarcated zones between 25th June and 30th June. He hinted that within the above said dates the public transport would be operated only within the district.
On 1st June 2020, the government had divided TN into 8 zones and permitted free movement within the zones without e-passes. Within the zones, the operation of public transport was allowed with 50 percent fleet strength. Greater Chennai police limits, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Chengalpet were excluded from the relaxations
