GCC prepares list of persons who are at more risk of getting Coronavirus

About 3.5 lakhs persons belonging to Chennai city would be monitored continuously by the GCC as these persons are more vulnerable to Coronavirus infection. This would be done to protect them from the infection.
The statement from GCC had mentioned that these 347,380 vulnerable persons are pregnant women plus those with co-morbid conditions and elder persons. It added that Anganwadi workers, corporation nurses have been deployed by the GCC to monitor the health of the identified persons regularly.
Point is GCC, as well as Helpage India, have been contacting 100 senior citizens every day to get details about their health and to provide assistance. It must be noted that doctors have been appointed to contact persons under home quarantine every day for a period of 14 days.
From the present 100 fever camps, GCC has increased the fever camps to 200 now. This has been done in the containment zones to identify those with influenza-like illness. By this process, the patients could be identified much earlier.
The release also explained about the Chennai Corporations orders for 2 lakh Arsenic Album Homeopathy medicine and hydroxychloroquine/ HCQ tablets that would be issued to the front line workers of the civic body as per ICMR.
Those buildings that are violating the norms would be taken over by the civic body and this was as per a senior officer of GCC. He spoke about how 4 deviated buildings of private hospitals have been identified and how 120 beds could be added in these.
