Due to the lockdown imposition as a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic, all religious worship places in the country were closed.
The Central Government, during the present 5th Phase of Lockdown with some more relaxations, has ordered that devotees can be permitted to have Darshan of their Lords in the temples throughout the country!
Accordingly, the Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) in Tirupathi temple appealed to the Andhra State Government to permit the devotees for Darshan in the hugely-popular and ever-crowded Tirupathi temple of Lord Venkateswara. In turn, the State Government of Andhra approved to allow devotees to Tirupathi Temple but with certain regulations.
The regulations set forth by the State Government of Andhra includes adhering to the social distancing, spraying disinfectants in the places where large crowds of devotees gather, cleaning of the devotees` queue line places and the barriers, wearing of face masks, using sanitizers, etc.
Activities have been initiated by TTD to set up the above regulations.
TTD administration has announced that the local resident devotees will be permitted for Darshan from 10th June at the Tirupathi temple!
