Nehru Stadium being renovated

Renovation work at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is underway. The work is being done at a total cost of Rs. 46 crores. The newly improved stadium will have an international sized eight lane athletic track which will be made of synthetic material. It will also have a sub base for a warm up track. The base will be situated at the rear end of the stadium.
�The stadium is getting ready to host upcoming State, national and international sports meets, which are scheduled for the coming months�, said a Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) official.
