TN State Govt increases the retirement age from 58 to 59!

The Chief Mnister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswami, has ordered that the retirement age of the State Government employees from 58 to 59 years of age!
Presently, the retirement age of the Tamil Nadu State Government Employees and the teachers and lecturers/professors/faculties in government and government-aided schools and colleges are due to retire at the age of 58.
In this situation, in the latest order released, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has increased the retirement age by 1 year to 59!
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has notified that this order will be applicable for all the (public sector) state government undertakings employees and also the teachers and lecturers/professors/faculties in government and government-aided schools and colleges.
