Greater Chennai Corporation runs 98 shelter homes all around Chennai to take care of the stranded and homeless people in the Chennai Metro City.
They are provided with 3 meals a day and the daily essential kits.
They are also being provided with medical and mental health care and given counseling on a regular basis!
If anyone in Chennai is found to be homeless, they will be taken to the nearest shelter home managed by GCC.
As per the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu�s order, AMMA canteens are providing the food all 3 times a day, free of cost.
Other than this, NGOs and volunteers are also providing food to the needy with prior permission from the government.
GCC makes sure that no one in Chennai goes hungry or without care, during the lockdown!
