COVID-19 Tamil Nadu: 66 new cases - 94 recover and get discharged!

Tamil Nadu State Minister Vijayabhaskar informed that 66 more persons have been confirmed today (25th April) coronavirus infection. With this, the total of affected persons has increased to 1,821.

As a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic, the lockdown has imposed throughout the country until 3rd May. Despite this, as the people with symptoms get admitted and get confirmed of the infection, there has been a daily increase!

The Central Health Department has announced that the number of affected persons in the country has increased to 26,267. So far, 5,939 persons have recovered after treatment throughout the country and got discharged. 44 lives have been lost in the last 24 hours!

The raging coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the state of Tamil Nadu as well! 72 persons have been confirmed with infection today. The Minister shared the details:
  • So far, 960 persons have recovered in Tamil Nadu and discharged. Today, 94 persons recovered and were discharged.
  • With 1 more death reported today (25th April), the total loss of lives in Tamil Nadu has gone up to 23.
  • Just on a single day today, as many as 43 persons were confirmed with coronavirus infection today (Saturday, 25th April).
  • 25,503 persons are under house-monitoring. 19 persons are under government monitoring.
  • So far, 80,110 persons were tested in Tamil Nadu. On a single today alone, 7,707 rests were undertaken!
  • There are 41 testing centers in Tamil Nadu State, which is the maximum in the country. 835 persons are under treatment.
  • Out of the affected persons, 50.72% have recovered.
  • As the population of the Chennai Metro City is quite high, it has become a challenging task to keep the virus spread in check and under control.
  • Keeping the country�s welfare into consideration, the public must extend whole-hearted cooperation for the 100% lockdown.  6 doctors, who were treated at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, recovered and returned home. The recovered doctors and a nurse have consented to undergo plasma treatment.
  • 49 of the affected persons n Tamil Nadu are under the age of 10 years.
  • So far, none of the people who have recovered and returned have been affected for the 2nd time with coronavirus.
